Does any one know why you get contant muscus build up in the lungs? I have a dehumidifier and purifier in my bedroom and eliminated mould. I have contant mucus build up in my lungs every 4 hours.

I have the same problem but have discovered that along with all the medication my doctor prescribed Zyrtec seems to help a lot just remember to drink lots of fluids.

Are you using Mucinex, the expectorant, to help clear mucus or phlegm (pronounced flem) from the chest when you have congestion from a cold or flu. It works by thinning the mucus or phlegm in the lungs. I use the generic forms from Walmart as they are much cheaper. Good luck.

Hi 2uWallowa thanks for suggestion. I’ve looked online and I think Zyrtec is a US drug. Is it an antihistamine?

The active ingredient in Zyrtec is cetirizine hydrochloride.
