Pattycake, nice to meet you. My name is Cateyes and I have shortness of breath on exertion too lately and my BP goes up. I get tired easily too. I don't think all of mine is asthma either, but I'm afraid my Dr. will think I'm a hypochondriac if I go to him. Best of luck to you!

Cateyes....being afraid to go to the doctor because the doc will think you are a hypochondriac is very dangerous. Don't worry what the doctor thinks! What if you were a hypochondriac? Wouldn't you still need medical help? Asthma can also be triggered by physical exertion...it is called exercise induced asthma. Ask the doctor about that next time you go. It is REAL...so is being tired.... The doctor is there to treat you....whether or not you are a hypochondriac or not! having questions about why you are tired, or can't breath is normal behavior! So is asking for help from the medical profession. Make a list of questions to take to the doctor if that helps you....and good luck!

Sajanina, thank you for your good advice. Yes, I do have exercise induced asthma, but didn't know what to call it. Yes, the asthma makes me tired! I am now on a maintenance med (Asmanex), which helps me not have the attacks. It is helping, although I still have asthma attacks but not as often. You are correct, fear of what a Dr. May think should not keep me from seeing him when I'm having these serious problems. Thanks again for intelligent advice!
