Hi, I'm Colleen. I developed asthma at the age of 25, I am now 52. It took many years and many different medicines to get my asthma under control. I still have trouble a few times a year but I always have Prednisone and Duo-Neb for my nebulizer on hand. I feel like I'm kind of a pro at this asthma thing and I would be happy to help anyone that has questions or just needs some support. Thanks for letting my be a part of your community!

Thank you for your response. I am well control. Haven't been to the hospital in over 25 years. I take proair daily and try not to eat dairy products such as ice cream.
Hi, I do need your help and share your experiences with mine .
Hi Colleen, I'm Cateyes, 67 years old and like to be active, but my asthma is giving me fits this summer, due to high humidity and ever changing weather, rain, hot, sunny, more rain etc. I am on Asmanex maintenance med once a day, have Combivent inhaler, and Albuterol for nebulizer. I never know when I'm going to wake up with asthma or get it in the midst of a shopping trip, vacuuming, or just going out. Any suggestions?
Hi Colleen. I would love to talk to you. I'm Jessica. I am 45 and had asthma start 4 years ago. I have mostly taken Flovent, singular and Allegra. Allergies are a big trigger and July through September is usually horrible for me. Now trying symbicort not sure if working. Also given alvesco. Worst part is asthma makes me so anxious hard not to be when I am fighting to breathe all day. A viscous cycle. I want to be controlled so bad. I also just got dr to give me a medrol dose pak have not taken before but thought maybe could get things under control? Don't want to mess around with it though. Would be great to find out what you have tried etc. is there a way to email or message you? Any advice you have would be so appreciated. I feel so hopeless. Thank you!!!!
