Is anyone living in the United States worried about their health care coverage, and what it will look like in the future with all of this craziness going on with the government and the health care reform?
Health Care Reform: Is anyone living in... - Living Well with HIV
Health Care Reform
Yes.
I wonder why will happen if they indeed take away the help for ppl like us as well as the tax credit/premium assistance.
It truly is a scary time we live in now, HarborPath is actively working to expand its coverage into all 50 states to help bridge the gap of patients and getting their medications. We at HarborPath are also working on adding new medications to our offering.
Excellent!
I'm in New York.
Hope you can achieve all that
I do know that in NY the state ADAP program income guidelines at 435% of the federal poverty level so for a household of one if you make under $52,461 a year you could qualify for the medication assistance. I would ask your Doctor or case worker/ social worker about applying.
I do have ADAP since September last year. I got my way into the program ever since I got to New York. They, ADAP, pay for my health insurance also with MetroPlus.l since 02/01/2017
I get my medications mail to me on a monthly basis and adhere to it.
My doctors visit are every three months, next one is on may. I've been undetectable since march 2015, diagnosed on late October 2014
That is great news we love hearing success stories!!!!
Thank you!
Hello, Im living in the US as well, young professional here, and I am also concerned about this issue, hope health coverage stays affordable and support for HIV medications stays attainable...
You bet your bippy I'm concerned! With the situation in Washington AND NIH being gutted - it is frightening! I'm retired on a fixed income and NIH was the only entity doing research for PUBLIC causes - not pharmaceuticals doing research for BIGGGGGG bucks1!! Just my comment!
