I was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease yesterday and am strangely depressed about it. It's not like I did not know something was wrong, but I am disappointed that there is not much treatment and I must come to terms with a further altered lifestyle. I have many autoimmune diseases. The major ones are Sjogren's, PMR, Lymphocytic colitis, Raynaud's, cold urticaria. In addition my lumbar and cervical spine are beyond repair. I want to remain in my home in Round Rock Texas and care for my 84 year old husband who has dementia. It is becoming increasingly difficult. Do you think counseling would help? I am 80 years old, a master gardener and love to be outdoors.
