The answer to your question is how long is a piece of string. You haven't given enough information. The only person who can give you the answer is either the GP or the doctor who gave you the diagnosis of cirrhosis. However, for your sister - be positive and know there are treatments available and age is not a problem, I had my transplant aged 62.
