Sounds like you are leaking lymphatic fluid from your leg. Have you seen your doctor yet? If not, make an appointment straight away. You may need antibiotics.
My son sees a specialist three times a week they wrap it from the feet to the calf . They finally put him on bacterial infection antibiotics and the water pill he is very heavy . Don’t rely on a Dr go see specialist now asap
I agree with Scottie_55. It sounds like you have an infection and should see a doctor/medical practitioner as soon as possible. The leaking Lymph fluid could so easily develop into Cellulitis, so prevention is better than the cure!
Please see your doctor soon? In the meantime try and keep your leg as clean as possible - I would say, using a clean cloth and warm water [ not hot ] just wipe your legs down and remove the old lymph. I hope ''Lynora'' [?] will read your letter and give you advice - she knows what she is talking about and has helped us all so many times. Good luck, Sammy
Hi Fatleg1 - are you going to a lymphoedema clinic? The leaking is also known as lymphorrhea. Lymph fluid is a high protein fluid, which is also caustic to your skin. It needs to be stopped! This can usually be achieved by multi-layer lymphoedema bandaging, exercises and elevation. Your doctor should be concerned, and be referring you to a therapist/clinic. In the meantime, keep your skin as clean as possible, and elevate your legs when sitting.
Your dr can arrange dressings to be changed regularly at the surgery.
If you are house bound. It can be done at home. The burning and stinging inside the leg sounds very much like celulitous. I had this and it is like my legs were on fire and could not touch each other.
If fluid is leeking as often as I think it is. This wont clear up on it's own.
Ask to see a different dr.
Believe me my leg started out with a small pink blister the size of a 10p piece. It developed into an ulcer the size of a large tangerine.
Ive had 3 batches of anti-biotics.
I have bought a vibro plate machine to stand on and I'm away to get a recliner chair to elevate my legs.
It went as far as me getting a hospital bed that raises the head and legs via remote control, but I wasn't able to sleep in the position due to a back injury and had to hand it back after day 3.
I appreciate my case is severe but please take it seriously.
Infection can get in so easily when it's open tot he air.
The nurses change the dressings 4 days a week. In 3 months it deteriorated.
