I am a current AML patient having chemo treatment. Soon after Christmas, it will be my 3rd cycle of chemotherapy, it is my very first time having High dose Cytarabine, however at the first and second cycle I already had some chemo rashes and irritation on my face and my eye.
I would like to know your experience of the high dose treatment (probably with GO as well) which is consolidation chemo treatment. Please share to me your experience like how do you find it? Is it better than first 2 cycle ? Or it is way stronger? as I am very very anxious about it. 🤧

I'm so sorry that you are feeling so anxious about this, it must be very scary.
I know others on the board have more relevant experience than I do, but I just wanted to make sure you were answered asap.
Please do not hesitate to ring the Leukaemia Care help line if you need more immediate, and accurate information (or, of course, your own CNS) but, I am also sure that someone will be along soon with some experience to share.
In the meantime, please do keep talking, this whole process is scary and isolating, and you are not alone, everyone on the board is lovely.
Hi, you do sound anxious, it must be horrible. Did you tell your medical team about your anxiety and the side effects you suffered, I am a great believer in telling my medical team of all my side effects, their severity and impact on my life.
I have not been on your treatment regime, but I just wanted to say take lots of care of yourself.
