Chips!

The hardest part of LCHF is not eating potatoes and specially chips. Last night I tried celeriac chips and they came out really good and nice tasting.

Cut celeriac into chips, blanch the for 2 mins, drain, put them back in the empty pan, add some whole nut oil and turmeric or mild curry powder, put them on a baking tray well spread out and cook for 35 mins.

Very nice 😋

Well done. They look good.

Did they crisp up?

These ones didn’t but I did celeriac “chunks” last night to replace roast potatoes and I left them in a little longer which made them crispy. Just need to play around with temperatures and time 🤔

My wife did shepherds pie the other night using mashed cauliflower instead of potatoes, it was so yummy, better than spuds.

That’s a good suggestion 👍 I’ve tried swede (rutabaga) chips and they work really well. Last night I made Jerusalem artichoke crisps and was very pleased at how nicely they came out too 😊
