You can get a special avocado keeper - don’t know how good they are.

I keep the stone in one half and tightly wrap it in a thin plastic bag (the type supermarkets have on the side to put vegetables in (I know, not very eco friendly) and they are always ok the next day. I am about to try with a freezer bag. When I use those I use a straw (stainless steel, reusable😇) to suck the air out.

Good suggestions. Don't forget to cover the cut surface with acid (eg vinegar, lemon juice) before wrapping. Guacamole, made with a reasonable amount of lime juice is usually palatable the next day.

Truth be told, I have decided the serving size of avocado is "1".

I agree - I only have half an avocado if I'm making lunch for two of us :) Morrisons "Wonky" avocados are a good price for what you get.
