Many of us were looking forward to meeting up in Bristol this weekend. Instead, Sam Feltham, has brought together an online conference starting with Dr David Unwin at 8.30am Saturday 16th: youtube.com/phcukorg

Dr Sarah Halberg from Virta Health is the 2nd speaker. She was due to be in Bristol. Hope most of you can catch the talks over the weekend and following weeks if not able to catch them all over the weekend.

Several of the speakers are fellow PHC Patient Ambassadors telling, not only their personal stories but also the patient support programs they have developed with their local GP practices.

Attendance is free, but donations very welcome to support the movement to get the UK Dietary Guidelines updated.

Some Gremlins no doubt Annie! Very interesting times. The founders of the PHC have achieved an amazing amount since their establishment. Their primary aim is to the get the Public Health Englang dietary guidelines changes - Low Carb Real Food. This pandemic may have helped bring that about - but only time will tell. The money driving the status quo is signficant. Matt Hancock and Boris having the virus at the same time - Matt back at work within the week and Boris touch and go - obese and metablically challenged. Dr Aseem Malhotra is amazing and he is the first on tomorrow morning. The 2nd Speaker, Bitten Jonsson is the 2nd. Bitten's speciality is sugar addiction.

Thanks for posting 👍. I watched Dr David Unwin and another talk from a former diabetic and several diabetes nurses. I’m saving up the rest of the talks for later this week 😀

This afternoon there are some brilliant patient stories. All totally different and incredibly inspirational. Some of them I have met on our journey - others I may well have met had our Ambassadors Conference not been cancelled because of this current shutdown. Hopefully some good can come from this lockdown. Watching with interest if Boris does recognise that it was insulin resistance that tipped him into the need for hospitalisation.

Ah, that's what the how-i-lost-9-stone guy was about. It came up on autoplay, and while it was interesting and informative, I couldn't quite understand what it was doing at a conference.

It's all really interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes - several wonderful personal stories. I had a few challenges to watch some of the latter presenations as I could not access them on the playlist screen. Sam did well to pull something together. Have you seen The Food Bank Show over the lock down? It has been brilliant and a wonderful last discussion this morning with Dr David and Dr Jen Unwin. youtube.com/primalliving
