The food my husband made me today🥰 he’s a bit OTT and precise but I can live with all the counting and weighing as he’s eating nearly the same but had real brown rice and curry sauce as he’s on a few more calories than me. Any less carbs/cals than this we will fail. So enjoying it atm and lost our bloaty full feeling and few pounds down already 😇

Looks really tasty! You're lucky to have someone who's on the journey with you.

I really suggest you don't try to "improve" the LCHF protocol though (by, for example, using fat-free yoghurt). The established method is the outcome of many years of empirical research on real people. What you're actually doing here is a standard calorie-controlled, low-fat diet with an additional carb restriction.

Your food is not unhealthy, and it's clearly working for you so far, but I suspect that hunger will get you in the end ... as it does with most people. You'll find this much more sustainable if you just eat until you're full, don't restrict calories, keep your carbs to a minimum, and add fat to taste.

I know it's hard to let go of received wisdom about fat and calories, but it's a critical prerequisite.

I am not using any diet rubbish stuff and trying to do as clean as possible and using olive oil but it’s a mind thing atm as calorie counting helps to keep the baddies out of temptation ( choc still in fridge). I don’t think we know what enough is 🐷 but feel loads better and as husband won’t book another cruise until his dinner suit fits loosely, and my muffin top decreases, I’m happy to jog along on 150gm of carbs and in/out calories which is long term doable for us. Thank you for your advice. 🙏🏽

❤️ Looks good..😊👍

That’s looking really tasty. Congratulations on your success so far. You’ll surely be booking that cruise soon.

You could lower your carbs a bit relatively easily by cutting the apple out (especially if it’s a daily eat) and substituting some plain almonds, plain walnuts and maybe a Brazil nut. Also a few berries (I use frozen as cheaper) instead of banana and is it mango? with your yoghurt

Thank you I’m happy trying to do 150 gms max of carbs a day which is working ok so far and gradually cutting them down.
