Sugar

If you are sanguine about sugar, watch this film.

It's an eye opener, and Larry's story is particularly distressing.

I've been watching this in odd moments and finally got through it! Good movie. As moreless said, it's a must-see for everyone. Absolutely incredible how the effects can show after only a few weeks - what on earth must be happening to people who eat like this for a lifetime?

Larry's story is just terrible. Incidentally, have you ever seen "Idiocracy"? It's mostly puerile humour, but it's frighteningly close to the mark. There's a running joke about a drink called "Brawndo" (a thinly-disguised fictional Mountain Dew) which, in the fictional future USA, everyone drinks instead of water ... and irrigate plants with it. They believe it's good for you because the advertising says "it's got electrolytes". They think water is only for flushing the toilet.

Incidentally ... if you get the chance to try "miracle berries", they're a lot of fun. I have one plant. I ate a whole lemon while "under the influence". Tasted like cheap supermarket lemonade. The effect only lasts about 5 minutes though.

Just looked up miracle berries! Crazy! I'd never heard of them. I don't know if they'd grow in the UK

Yeah, they're really weird things! It's amazing what nature has in her larder. The guy in the video was eating some sort of dried form - I guess those are available somewhere on the internet.

They'd probably grow OK in a greenhouse. My climate is subtropical.

Yes I remember you're sub tropical, and growing cool stuff that makes me jealous! I grew electric daisies last year, theyre quite bonkers. A bit like popping candy

What are electric daisies??

Edible flowers a bit like big daisies. You eat the yellow centre andvit jangles up your taste buds. Most strange!!

I've heard about magic berries. They make beer taste like chocolate milk, or so I was told! 😂

I have two well established plants..the little flowers smell very nice but as soon as they start to make fruit..the birds eat them..I might get lucky and they miss a few...put a berry in your mouth then suck on a lemon and it turns the juice sweet...they are fun..when you can get them that is..

I have some beach cherry trees next to them , so I happy with them.

I watched this film a while ago, and have been wanting to re-watch it for ages, so thanks for sharing! It's a big eye opener, I could always do with a reminder not to let my sugar intake creep back up again.

Loved this film! Thank you for sharing! It helped me understand just how much sugar is in everything that's highly processed! I definitely needed to see this film!
