As I am relatively new to this group, I am not sure if there are any discussions on the amazing work of the GP Dr David Unwin and his sugar equivalence infographics? On Friday, NICE endorsed his 7 teaspoon of sugar infographics as suitable to be a resource to support the UK guidelines for type 2 diabetes in adults & they shortlisted him for a National prize! Find and download here: nice.org.uk/guidance/ng28/r... . I have uploaded one of these infographics that make the glycaemic index simpler for all to understand. All can be viewed here: phcuk.org/sugar/

It is advice that goes for all - if not diabetic, it makes sense to follow it - to prevent becoming diabetic!!

WE know that but it's a shame NICE don't take it on board for everyone :)

Agree - but it is a brilliant start. It should force Hospitals, schools and prisons to provide better low glycaemic food options. Dr Unwin reported having a possitive meeting with Alison Testone, Chief Nutritionist at Public Health England, last week.
