Hi. I've been on HealthUnlocked for some time now and for some reason, my profile states I've not introduced myself.
I've written a bio within my profile which summarises my journey with sJIA.
I've had systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis for over fifty years and early on had periods of remission until I stepped on something sharp on the beach after which time I've never had any further remission periods since.
My journey involves much damage within my body and many different medication changes over the years along with joint replacements and procedures but my care has been outstanding in the medical profession. I have been fortunate to have wonderful consultants who have looked after me.
I'm presently writing a book about my journey and the effect it's had on my life as well as providing a self-help guide in the hope it will help others newly diagnosed and living with chronic pain.

Good luck with your book! Sharing your own experience of JIA and living with chronic pain will certainly help others in a similar position to not feel alone. Do let us know at JIA-at-NRAS how you get on with writing it. Wishing you all the best. Nicky
Hello NickyThank you so much for your message. I was thrilled to receive it.
I really appreciate your positive words in respect of my book. I do hope I help others suffering from chronic pain with my book. It's been a long stint since starting it in 2021, and I'm very close to finishing it. I will let you know how I get on.
I've been engaging on Healthunlocked for quite some time. It's a great community, and I've learnt things I didn't know even after all this time diagnosed with sJIA as well as give advice.
Is there a separate community on Healthunlocked specifically for JIA -NRAS? It would be good to connect on there if there is.
Many thanks again for your message. Best wishes. Gail
