whats everyones thoughts on cyclosporine, tried promacta, ivig, n plate, everything, seems cyclosporine is keeping my wife at good levels

It's strange how different haematologists prescribe different medications in different orders! I tried prednisolone first - didn't work and then the next step for me was cyclosporine - 50 mg twice daily. My platelets have gone from 10 to 21 - not a great increase I know but more important to me is that I haven't experienced any side effects. I know they are a very toxic tablet and I don't need to tell you the possible side effects as you will have read the leaflet.
I too am type 1 diabetic on insulin and I have to say they haven't affected my blood sugar levels.
Hope your wife's good levels continue.
