Advise - hair get thinner ( eltrombopag, promacta)

I just start eltrombopag (promacta) 25 mg /day three weeks ago. I can see my hair get thinner, I have fine hair. Anyone can give me an advise what can I do (any vitamin or hair products.... etc) will help?

I wish I could advise you but I’m afraid I have yet to find a product that helps. I’m surprised it has happened on a low dose of eltrombopag. I only noticed my hair loss when I was put on the maximum dose of 75 mg/day. I’m currently on 50 mg and there’s a slight improvement but I would love to come right off this drug.

Hi I was on Revolade 50mg a day, my hair was thinning especially when I washed it. My consultant took me of it and put me on NPlate, injection once a week. Hair loss slowed now. I take a Biotin and Collagen supplement. I use a CBD shampoo and conditioner, very gentle on the hair and scalp. Hope this helps !

Hi again just to say N plate injection working well, platelets up to 110 this week ! Romiplostim, would recommend. 👍😁

Hello! Can I ask how are you feeling now compared with how ytou felt before Romiplostin? what difference has it made to your platelet level?

Before was very stressed about hair. Platelets dropped again down to 18, was 110. Increasing dosage of N plate from today 9th March. Feel abit rough at moment but generally feel ok ! I would recommend it, if not bothered about needles and injecting your self.

Feel less stressed on N plate, dose increase will bring platelets up. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
