ITP Remission

Last year during this time, I was diagnosed with ITP. After several IVIGs and rounds of steriods, I’ve been in remission since December. It is now July and I am experiencing petechiae again. I am now on Abilify, does anyone know if that causes petechiae? Or do I need to set up another visit to my hematologist to check out my platelet count?

Yes to setting up an appointment. They are probably pretty low if you see petechiae.

See you hematologist again, ITP treatment some times takes up a lot of time, this is possible your doctor repeat treatment with IVIG or use of NPlate or other drugs or ways.

Don't worry, ITP is chronic sometimes, but doesn't has any danger if you are careful.
