Platelets decided to go down again.

Well got more results this morning platelet count went back down to 39000 and now my RBC is a bit high not much, and my hematocrit went a bit high as well so far not enough to worry about as far as I can see RBC only up by 0.04 and Hct. up only be 0.02. Stopped drinking as much water and was a little down over the holidays. I guess I must drink more and go back to what I was doing and eating and drinking when my platelets has gone back up 2 weeks ago. More water, Aleo Vera Juice, more green veggies and more fruits etc. I tried to drink a bit of coke zero and coffee and a bit of starch but that may be the problem so back on the diet I made for myself and see if next Monday the count goes up or down. This is an exasperating illness. AGGGH. Take care all and have a nice day. And prayers for all.

The lowest my platlets have been is 36,000 which was in February. They have risen slowly to 65,000 last week. I quit drinking all alcoholic beverages and starting taking Vitamin C, Beet Root capsules, and Folic Acid (Vitamin B 9). Hematologist said it was okay to take them in moderation. Also inexpensive to purchase.

My folic Acid is normal as well as my vit. C I think I was just not drinking enough but we will see. Thank you for responding.

Hi kyriak51 here, I don't understand your lab values. Hematocrit range for women is 36 to 47%, hemoglobin range is 12 to 14gm, RBC's range is 4.5 to 5.5 thousand, platelet range is 150 to 400 thousand. A good general diet is important for good health but has nothing to do increasing your platelet counts. Have a good day:))

I would go easy on anything that has citric acid in it.
