Happy to say that my hemotologist has said that as I seem to be pretty steady at 50 and over for the last few years I can now just see him yearly, fingers crossed this lasts.

Thats great. And is there any specific medicine or change in food habits you did?

No, no medicine but I did cut down on sugar drastically a year ago to stop becoming diabetic and also lost weight previously (on 5/2 diet) and joined health walks, loosing 2 and half stone overall.

My count was only ever 0 when the hospital gave me prednisolone ahead of an operation 3 years ago. I won't take it again.

It didn't last long. Another dental op required 2 shots of Nplate in my stomach in November. A month later I was ill with fatigue and bad joint pain and short of breath and platelets down to 15 (maybe a latent side effect of coming off Nplate?). Another month later with no treatment I was up to 60 !! next appointment in 6 mths.
