Do they do the marrow test on a slightly high platelet read out ?

I am not sure if they do a bone marrow test for slightly high platelets. On my 1st hematology appt. the doctor explained that they may have to do a bone marrow biopsy if they could not get a diagnosis from the blood work. I told him that bone marrow biopsy was not an option, that I refused to have it done. I will go along with the blood work and the abdominal ultrasound, but that was it. So, I never did have the biopsy. If you feel well, other than your usual conditions of RA, glaucoma, etc., and you are functioning everyday doing your daily things, I would not worry a whole lot. That is what I told my doctor. When I feel sick, then I will see you; otherwise, as long as I can get through my day doing what I need to do and feeling well, I prefer to do as little medically unless it is absolutely a necessity.

Hi thank you its early weeks for me and mine is high platelet at mo but im very worried and i know its not helping me .will try and speak to Doctor this morning again ,hope you are okay and they have it sorted for you best wishes
