My 9 year just got diagnosed with itp My question is should she get a medical id bracelet to wear at school

Yes without a doubt - it helps when they are out of school as well.

I agree with NickyD and an ID wrist band would be useful to many others too. I wear one just in case of an accident so that any A and E Department would know about my chronic ITP instantly. Hopefully your daughter's ITP will not be chronic.

My five year old has itp but i just keep the school nurse updated on her levels and make everyone that comes in contact with her is aware of her disorder been working great for us

I have a medical alert ID bracelet for myself. I would buy on for my child if my child had ITP. I would let my child be an active part in choosing the style for the bracelet and I would also let my child help me tell their teacher, nurse, principal, and secretary of the school. Together, the parents and the child, can become a team a form an action plan. Let your child take the lead. At 9, your child has the skills to do this so empower your child! Love and light my ITP friends... Ps...I'm a retired teacher....
