I am so delighted to report that after 57 days on a ventilator 40 in a coma and 3 months in hospital my amazing dad has come home to us! 🥰. From being told his life was 40/60 , 60 being most likely to loose his life. fighting Covid 19, 6 separate infection and 2 pnemonia's he is finally home with us. 2 stone lighter (he was already slim) unable to walk unaided and no less than a few steps without having to sit and catch his breath. This is a man who is 59, fit and active never smoked ,no underlying health conditions and this is now what he is faced with. This disease tried it hardest to take him but like a solider he fought back and won. I can't thanks the NHS enough they are angels his ICU nurses was so supportive, so lovely they become fixtures in your life and I will be truly great full to all the staff for helping my dad overcome this. Miracles do happen my dad is living proof. Never give up hope!!!

Great news. Hopefully he will be getting some good sleep too.
Wonderful news.. It gives me hope that my Brother too can win the battle of this awful Covid virus. Best wishes to you and your Dad for his continued recovery
Thankyou. I pray for a speedy recovery for you brother.
Such great news. My husband had a similar 'journey' and should be home from rehab. very soon. This is a very special time for you and we both have so much to be grateful for, especially the dedication of the NHS staff. They are survivors and, I am sure, will continue to improve with the support of their families.
Oh wow yes it does. My dad didn't have to go into rehab he wanted to come home so I've turned into a full time nurse. It's alot but I can slowly see his improvements day by dad and he sat out in the sunshine yesterday and he said the fresh air to his lungs where unbelievable after months with no air. Hope for speedy rehab
Amazing news! Wishing your dad a good and steady recovery.🌸
Such wonderful news.He will be able to make a slow and steady improvement once he is ready 🙂
Congrats wow what a journey. I wish a speedy rehabilitation process and hope this makes your bond stronger
My experience was similar. I was on a ventilator and sedated for a number of weeks with Covid. Thanks to NHS I am here to tell the tale. My mobility was effected and had physiotherapy in a community hospital and now walk ok, but with a stick. I had bad delirium when in ICU and the dreams were very vivid and quite scary sometimes. All gone now just waiting to go to long covid clinic to get further fitness help.
Praise God! my dads story is similar.
Thankyou for all the well wishes, it's been a struggle but we are getting there. Take care all 🙂
