My dad has been in itu for nearly 3 weeks after a heart attack, today we found out he has a rare disease the doctors don’t know much about called protein c deficiency, I just wanted to see if anyone had any knowledge about it or knew anything about treatments.

Protein C deficiency is associated with an increased risk of venous thromboembolism, such as deep vein thrombosis in the legs. It can be inherited (autosomal dominant), so you and your family should speak to your GP about getting tested. The long term treatment is anticoagulants such as warfarin.
