January of this year I was care flighted while I was in an induced coma and septic. I had multiple strokes and almost died. I came home at the end of February. The last couple of weeks when I would wash and brush my hair I have notice a ton of hair coming out. I’m scared to brush it because of how bad I’m losing it. I’m happy to see this is normal after what I went thru but it’s super scary. I hope that it stops soon. Or hair vitamins might help. Thank you for sharing your stories

Hair loss after being septic
I also was in a medically induced coma for 3 weeks due to pneumonia and respiratory failure, when I came home and was able to take a real bath for the first time in a month or so while I was washing my hair I was in shock to have just clumps of it coming out in my hand. I didn't know or no-one explained to me that this was a side effect and I literally freaked out. My hair has never been thick anyways so losing any of it is too much. It happened every time I washed or brushed it. I got some hair skin and nails vitamins and went and got a hair cut shorter than I've ever had quite a bit above my shoulders. Anyways I believe all of those things have helped because it's been 2 and half almost 3 months and although when I wash or brush my hair I still have some coming out but it's nowhere near what it was to begin with.
