Is there still hope chance of progress and seeing one pull off of ventilator after having been on it for 5 weeks at minimum? Thank you

I believe I was intubated for 57 days and then remained on a trachy for another 2-3 weeks. This forum is full of people who have defied the odds. Don’t despair - I hope everything improves for you soon.

I went into 2 grade 3 Comas with Sepsis, pneumonia, Mrsa and kidney failure. I was given a 1-2% survival rate. I’ve now been home for 4 months. Never give up hope x

Yes my mum was ventilated for 6 weeks and is now home ,! 3 months in hospital but is doing well - slowly regaining strength . Stay positive

Open heart surgery 12/15/17 & since then pt. has not waken up. Ventilator/tracheostomy- irregular high heart bits.. don't know what to expect...had several OR surgery opening chest for trying to figure out where bleeding from..
