3 week post op bleeding

Hi I am 3 / 4 week post op and this evening I have some heavier bright red bleeding. I have been in quite a bit of pain today. Is this normal or am I over doing things ?

You need to rest your doing too much. It's your bodies way to telling you to rest. If you rest and it still happens contact your GP for advice.

Hi there,

I think you should call your doctor, I had post op bleeding a week after for 2-3 weeks and I had an infected hematoma! I was in a lot of pain really I don't think we should bleed at all after a hysterectomy just spot!

I'm 14 weeks and still struggling it's a long old road be patient and take it easy - let me know how you get on!

Thank-you. I had a heavy bleed after my previous lap in 2015 but this isn't as bad as that. If it doesn't ease I will call the doc. X

It's not normal so I hope you've seen your GP by now. It could be a granuloma so ask to be examined if they don't do it. You might also have overdone it. Rest more, exercise gently and gradually build up your strength. X
