Codeine based medication or paracetamol or a combination of the two is what my doctor told me to take. Anything stronger and you will have to speak with them about it.

hi there

i was taken off voltarol and put on naproxen instead for osteo. I also am on plaquenil and tramadol (with co-cod when needed) and cortisone shots periodically but I have developed a nasty reaction to steriods. I swear by the Naproxen - it I ever miss it (due to a migraine) I really know it. I do have to take Omeprazole to protect my stomach as it's quite a powerful drug and it has ruined my stomach!

Good luck

Hi there

My Doctor put me on Naproxen i was only on it for 3 weeks i had three side effects

1. Swollen Lymph Node at the back of my head

2.Severe Bruising

3. A Period after 2 years

so had to come off them my Doctor said it was pointless taking warfarin to stop strokes when its now known that all NSAIDS can cause strokes but since i have stopped taking them this pain is a dam nuisance x

What about lyrica? Is that available there? or Neurontin? Not sure of the "other" names of these meds or if avail in UK but we do use them for pain management. also tramadol?
