Does anyone's symptoms get worse during their periods. My aches and pains, my headaches and my fatigue seem worse during my period.

Yes, same here. I feel lousy, really lousy for about 4 days before my period. Really bad headaches I just can't shift, bloating, skin breaking out in sores (mainly on face) and moody! - I want to row with everyone and feel really quite low. Like MaryF said, I too can write off the week before my period as I don't feel like getting out of bed - and these symptoms don't seem to be getting any better.

I have APS, I'm 46 and I even asked Prof Hughes if the menopause can be made worse by APS and wondered if it had started already as I feel so bad! Then 2 days after my period and for the next couple of weeks I feel fine - til it starts all over again feeling ill. Glad I'm not alone but sorry you're having problems too.

Yes. I self-test and because my INR is rather unstable I test on a weekly basis and sometimes twice weekly. What I have found (have a years worth of data now) is that my INR levels have a monthly circadian rhythm. In the week before my period my INR drops quite substantially. Then the week after my period it rises higher than it should be and there are two weeks in the middle when it is fairly stable. I self dose as well as self test so initially when the INR dropped I increased the warfarin dose and that made the rise after my period very large. Once I realised this was the pattern I recognised that it would be a bit low and as long as the INR didn't drop below 3.0 I would leave as I knew it would bounce back up higher. I don't eat any differently so I think this must be hormone related but I can't remember seeing any studies of information indicating this is a usual pattern. However, it is unlikely this is the sort of thing that an INR clinic would have the time or the information to spot. Have any of you found similar patterns in INR?

Yes! All sorts of bizarre things occur around the time of my period; fatigue, increased pins and needles, tingling in the face, increased aches and pains everywhere and it goes on.

Oh I forgot to mention, my period is really stop/start with spotting for a couple of days before it kicks in.

Yes I have noticed that the lead up to my period and on my period I suffer more. More headaches, more pains, more fatigue just generally all symptoms are much worse and its a rubbish time! X

Diddo!! My gyno says itvhas to do with me being estrogen dominant and estrogen is secreted days before your period.. Which explained a lot after I googled lol it causes flare ups in ms and can trigger lupus. He put me on progestrone pill and it has helped immesensly tho im still quite moody on it. Trying to get my baby maker taken out im afraid it might be fatal one day as my inr drops between .5 and 1.8. I dunno if this had helped anyone in anyways but glad I vould answerva question lol

I was searching this site to see if anyone had more issues around the time of their cycles....and so this seems to be the case. My INR goes up and down, and I eat same foods consistantly. So I find "travelnut's" post very interesting.

Would partial hysterectomy reduce some of these issues? Anyone know?

I have already had a thermal ablation and still have 7 day periods...but better than the 14-16. But the cramping leading up to, the sleepless nights, achey legs...kinda sick of that stuf!

Just curious, thanks so much!
