can I come off anti-epileptic medication have been diagnosed with Hughes syndrome and I have not had a seizure since been on warfarin ?

Hi there, in agreement with above, it may be an option to come off this at some stage, but it would have to be under the guidance of consultant and... phased slowly. Glad your warfarin is working and that you have got to the bottom of the problem. Mary F x

Agree. Whether you need the anti-siesure meds or not, eliminating it will most likely require adjustment in the amount of warfarin you take. Most of these meds greatly effect how the warfarin is metabolized.

I would agree with all above you need to speak to consultant/GP.

In my case I was dx with peti-mal epilepsy due to strokes was dx after started warfarin (episdes where pre warfarin) never had another episode thats 12 years on.
