I had Moderna for # 1 and #2. I reacted poorly to the second shot and was pretty sick and was completely out of commission for about 5 days as I recall. I had Pfizer for the booster and had the same reaction, except far reduced, I was never out of commission, and I was completely okay in a couple of days. In spite of my reactions, I feel the shots were worth it. They give me some peace of mind. Let me know how you make out. Shot 2 is more commonly the one that causes a reaction. Feel free to PM me.

I’m hearing the same thing. Wondering Why? I took the moderna shot this past Thursday, I feel I did ok. Was only really tired that evening.

I had Pfiza for #1 and #2. Then Moderna for booster 6 months after jab 2. Had vaccine shoulder the next day but I found the cure. As I take warferin probably like a lot of people reading this I moderate alcohol intake and often go for weeks without any. I had a business trip to Dublin recently for a week and had 2 pints of Guinness each day starting the day after the jab and the ache subsided. I also did a 10 mile cliff walk from Bray to Greystones and back as I arrived after my long drive/ferry. Not sure if it was the good company (first business trip in 2 years), the arm exercise lifting the glass, the walk, or the fact that Guinness is good for you. But it worked.

You obviously did not get very sick - but I love the sound of your “cure”! Guinness is wonderful stuff, but I might exchange that for a good stout! Now I’m filled with longing 🤣. Thanks for the nice mental travel pictures!

Yes - I’ve been very lucky - no side effects apart from mild shoulder ache. I did hydrate well as well with water the day before each jab. And measured INR at home before and after with no changes measured.

Hmm… I kinda did the ‘workout’ the morning after I cleaned 2 bedrooms throughly vacuum etc using my arm & I think you are correct really not much soreness by the evening. Not an alcohol drinker so not sure what that’s like but if it worked it worked. Great!

I’m on Warfarin for many years. I have had three jabs of Modena, plus a flu vaccine. I had a sore arm fora day after jab 1 and 2. After the booster, I had mild flu like symptoms that afternoon. I took an Ibuprofen PM that night and slept well. Only lasting effect the next free days was a sore arm and inflammation at the injection site.

By the way, despite the flu vaccine in September, I contracted flu just before Thanksgiving and felt terrible for about ten days. I am so glad I have had the COVID vaccines as when I get sick, I get really sick. For me, the vaccines are well worth it.

Happy you had no issues!! That’s Wonderful! It’s such a scary time for us right now.

What took you so long? Shots will give you your life back. It is worth it the day of sleep I needed after the shot.

I am allergic to PEG, which is a stabilizer that is routinely added to injectables. So, I had the J&J plus that booster. When the vaccines were first made available there were warnings given to people who had had previous reactions to injectables. Those people who had reactions in those early days were, I'm guessing, allergic to PEGs. PEG allergies often remain undiagnosed as PEG is a family of drugs and establishing exactly which, or all, a patient reacts to is just too complicated. Sadly, what likely were PEG allergic reactions, fueled this existential vaccine hesitancy. The more opportunities the virus has to mutate, the more the virus will mutate. --To forms that are more contagious, and more resistant to immune reactions,

I got my vaccine, plus booster, and I continue to wear a mask not as my Archbishop Curry has said, to protect myself, but to protect others. Getting the jab is an act of love for all the people one meets!

All doses were Moderna. 1st dose, just a sore arm. 2nd dose, a sore arm and very mild flu like symptoms for less than 24 hours. 3rd (full, not booster) dose, sore arm and flu like symptoms (fever, chills, body aches, headache) for 30 hours.

What is the booster? Why did you get a 3rd does & not the booster?
