Glad your both ok. Had to smile about paramedics, please be reassured every crew that worked with me, now know a lot about Highes/APS!!

It's up to all of us to educate others sadly.

Greetings to your mother- tell her she has warm wishes from all over! ( and that we are quite fond of the lovely daughter she has raised so well.)

It will take time I'm afraid. It's not something that is taught to ambulance staff. I work for the ambulance service and had never heard of APS until I was diagnosed with it. I am spreading awareness of it and hopefully it will be widely known soon.

Neither did my then GP when I asked her to send me for blood tests. She sent me for the wrong tests which is ridiculous.

Glad your mum doesn’t have Hughes and pleased you’re both ok x

Good for you, I have a couple of paramedics that live near me, when in training they had to pick various conditions to study, and I was pleased to say they studied for some of their modules, Lupus, Hughes Syndrome/APS and Sjogrens. I was really pleased. MaryF
