Mums fine and so I am, ambulance called for mums neck pain I, just thought I would inform you all that the paramedic had no idea what antiphospholipid syndrome was, he was the junior one but the senior one didn’t have a clue either, he looked it up when I told him too
Mum hasn’t got Hughes syndrome, hopefully they will have learnt something

It will take time I'm afraid. It's not something that is taught to ambulance staff. I work for the ambulance service and had never heard of APS until I was diagnosed with it. I am spreading awareness of it and hopefully it will be widely known soon.
Good for you, I have a couple of paramedics that live near me, when in training they had to pick various conditions to study, and I was pleased to say they studied for some of their modules, Lupus, Hughes Syndrome/APS and Sjogrens. I was really pleased. MaryF
