Please could someone explain the difference between thrombophillia and

Antiphospholipid syndrome? and the differing risk factors for forming clots?

I'll try and answer you the best I can in layman's terms as I'm not a doctor, Thrombophilia is the medical term that causes a blood clot, has an increased tendency to form clots, various conditions under this heading can explain why -

Factor V Leiden.

Antiphosphilipid syndrome.

Prothrombin 20210.

Protein C, protein S and antithrombin deficiency.

Treatment depends on individual cases and causes but usually with anticoagerants. Risks factors are also individual.
