Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows whether my double incontinence is due to Hughes Syndrome/Lupus?

Have tried several things from the GP but won’t take any medication. It may be due to prolapse.

Was just wondering whether it’s just another symptom to add to the many already present.

Hi, please go back to your GP, and take your most trusted relative, friend, neighbour or colleague etc, to make sure you get an urgent referral to the right medical consultant, as they need to get to the bottom of what is causing this and help to address the problem as soon as possible. I hope you can get some help as soon as possible. MaryF

I too deal with double incontinence. But they have been diagnosed as being related to the strokes I had before I was diagnosed with Hughes sydrome. I am on one medication that really helps with the urinary incontinence. It is called Mirabegron/Myrbetriq. I could not believe how quickly it worked!! I still need to wear my diapers for the other problem. All my GP keeps saying is add more fibre.! He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I did see an APS specialist finally this past summer. He declined to take me on as a patient, saying my GP had me on the right meds., so I didn't need to see him.

After waiting so long, I was quite upset by this.

Anyway, good luck.

Snorkle272 thank you for the info. It’s very frustrating as they say the prolapse isn’t bad enough to do anything. I’ve not had any strokes so can’t blame it on that. Just keep being told to do more pelvic floor excercises.
