Are Antiphospholipid Syndrome and Lactose Intolerance related?
Hi,
We can only help those who are already diagnosed with Antiphospholipidsyndrom.
Do you have that diagnose as you have just joined as a member?
I have never heard that APS are especially related with Lactose Intolerance (been on this site for 7 years). At least it is not a wellknown symptom. Who knows, as APS can attack every organ of our body.
In answer to your question, it is not unusual with autoimmune diseases to have problems with Lactose and also gluten, and this is often the case if people also have Hashimoto's (Thyroid) disease alongside their autoimmune disease. Thankfully there are plenty of products out there now with reduced or no lactose. Please do get a proper diagnosis for it if you can. MaryF
Okay Mam, Thank-you for the reply 😘
I use heavy cream and make my own kefir and yogurt all off these products have minimal lactose, but no way would I drink milk. I love cheese and buy aged cheese or blue cheese, also make my own kefir cheese. I also make my own butter. All using organic produce. I find diet plays a huge part in all my auto immune disorders
I knew I was lactose intolerant for years before APS diagnosis.
However GI MD insisted I be tested. Of course the lactose test was positive.
