Hi Amy,

O yes and together with breastpain!

I had a lot of those issues before I was properly anticoagulated at a steady INR that was high enough for my symptoms. (at least 3.5)

Take care! You should not have difficult to breath.

Also see your question 2 months ago. You talk about leaking heartvalves and breathlessness. You need a Specialist of autoimmun illnesses as a GP and a Neurologist do not always understand what this illness is about - too sticky blood!!!

Hi, this has been discussed with others before on here, are you being properly monitored by your hospital/consultant regarding your INR and this, if it is a new symptom? MaryF

Hi guys , well ended up in Hosi today , spent several hours in A&E only to be told I have a virus . All tests came back clear for my heart and lungs .

My INR was very low last week. 2.4 on self test , 3.5 self test this morning, Hosi did vein test and it was 2.8 so my self test of 2.4 last week must of been very low 🙈🙈

Have you now been sent for an Echcardiography with doppler you talked of before?

What did it show? Try to get your INR steady.

This tricky illness we have, hide away, and sometimes they must use sofisticated methods like Ecocardiography with doppler. I know you have tried to get it before.

Did you mention leaking heartvalves on our site before?

Yeah , they checked it out yesterday all seemed fine with it and not causing me any problems

Glad you got it checked out and reassured - need to get your INR up & keep it there, viruses can effect it too so double trouble for you.

Really hope you start to feel better soon xx

That is one of my main symptoms. It just gets hard to get a lungful of air, difficult to explain really, but I generally take a little more warfarin or a couple aspirin or ibuprofen when I feel like this. I was diagnosed in 2011 after DVT's and bilateral PE's, also had 4 pregnancy losses, but had my miracle baby in 1990 and got to keep her with us. Major problems with her placenta and birth anomalies, but she's great now.

Anyway, yes, I do have that short of breath feeling when my INR gets low. My doc is pretty dumb when it comes to this, and pays no attention, so I don't get INR very often, I just know my body, and when I need more or less warfarin. I get an INR now about twice a year.

My target INR is 3. What's yours?

Hi

My INR is supposed to be 3.5 - 4 . Hard to keep it in range at times . I self test every other day which is a god send . Breathing a little better . I have bad digestion problems at the moment to . The more research I do the more I come up with different things. Being 50 now I have found out it can be a rare symptom of the menopause .

My neurologist started me on Amitriptyline in February and my life became a whole lot better and then this has thrown my body into confusion. I really thought I had turned a corner , I felt amazing . Now back to square one nearly 😕. I could understand it if I drank , smoked and ate rubbish but I don’t.

So at the moment not sure what is causing it ,APS or Menopause 🤔xx

Hi buckeyerose1,

You should have a Specialist of autoimmun illnesses. AN INR twice a year is not acceptable when having this illness.

I wonder who is responsible for your Warfarin and testing twice a year? Does that Doctor know that you handle the Warfarin yourself and take a little more when you feel for it?

Perhaps you selftest?
