Anything that anyone is aware of that makes lovenox ineffective? Does it also decrease the confusion? Or other symptoms as warfarin does?

Any restrictions on "anything" when on lovenox
Many years ago, my wife was taking Conzip and suddenly started to feel extremely nauseous. We had just received a case of grapefruit and had been having one or two a day. I know that grapefruit can interact with certain meds. So I checked the patient monograph. There were no reported drug or food interactions that made sense, and grapefruit was not listed. However, when I read the doctor's monograph, I discovered that the main enzyme responsible for metabolizing Conzip was also involved in metabolizing grapefruit. So in my wife's case, eating the grapefruit caused the drug to build up to intolerable levels.
You'd think the doctor who prescribed it would mention that, especially when she reported the extreme nauseousness. But he was getting ready to retire, and maybe he assumed the monograph mentioned the interaction.
Point is, check it out yourself, if you can. Or ask your doctor to read the monograph to you and explain how the drug is metabolized and if any foods can alter the way it works.
