Hi, all I can say is there seems among people in general to be a for and against type thing going on, If I were you I would be guided by your most trusted medical expert, providing they are fully up to date with Hughes Syndrome/APS and the possible addition of these particular drugs to what you are already using. I will not be using them personally due to my extreme allergy to drugs due to my particular mix of diseases. Thanks for the articles, however I could only access the last one. MaryF

Yes I think I will wait till I see my specialist next week thank you for your response Mary ....

Not sure what happened with the links they will probably come up if you Google 'Statins and APS ' i find they are all very medically based which makes it hard for lay people and patients to understand hence my question in the first instance and at my confusion with do I or don't I?

I do not have high cholesterole and I am not at all too heavy in weight but my APS-Specialist has given me Simvastatin 10 mg Daily.

I have all the antibodies (incl Lupus Anticoagulant) and in high titres. I have Pulmonell hypertension and leaking heartvalves but i feel fine as long as I am on a high INR of warfarin. I selftest. I am primary APS (no other autoimmun illnesses as fas as we know now).

As Mary says if you have an APS-Specialist who knows you and who you trust also. Do as he/she says.

Dc's are pleased I am tested twice a year if not sooner with all the other panels they do . and with 20 active Dc's in their special fields, i am well tested. to say the least .
