This is an important study. I am going to keep a copy of this one with my medical records. Putting the right study in front of the right doctor at the right time is imperative.

Thanks. I'm going to rise above the temptation to print this off, then find and shake it in front of the noses of those ER docs who dismissed all those TIAs and mini strokes I had in 2000-2001!

I was diagnosed with APS 3 yrs ago after TIA. Called my GP 8.30am who faxed my details to my local hospital. Hospital phoned me at 10am asking me to be there at 2pm the same day, and did I need transport. I was CT scanned, my neck doppler scanned, blood tested, had an amazing physical check without having to wait in the busy departments and was told each clinic had 2 slots available for such emergencies. I was given medication to help prevent further strokes/TIAs then called back some time later to be given their diagnosis and was put on Warfarin. The staff, and the treatment I received, could not have been better.

Yes, I appreciate how lucky I was and it was a very busy inner London hospital too (Homerton University Hospital). My good wishes to you.
