Stroke risk

I was diagnosed in 2012 and have been on warfarin after having 2 strokes. I also have MS my recent Mir shows new multiple cerabeller infarcts. Does this increase my risk of another big stroke? Has anyone had warfarin fail? Any suggestions would be great

Hi there, in a few cases people do have MS as well as Hughes Syndrome/APS. Also a percentage of patients are labelled wrongly with MS rather than Hughes Syndrome/APS, this is because the symptoms present in a similar manner and also the lesions can look the same. In terms of Warfarin it is crucial that you keep your diet consistent to help your INR stay steady, and if your Warfarin is not suiting you, you must take that back to your medical consultant as there are other anticoagulants that can be tried.
