Hiya - no idea if it is APS linked, but a small hard lump has appeared in my right hand. Am feeling fairly symptomatic at the moment with stiff joints and fatigue, but wondering if I should get this checked out? Might be nothing...

By chance I noticed similar, on little finger and side of palm. No particular reason to think related to APS though. Also thoroughly exhausted and painful joints though suspect latter is due to coming off Butrans.

Turned out to be part of Dupuytren's contracture!

Worth mentioning to your specialist, changes in your joints can indicate a flare or even a new auto immune issue. Best to get it checked out.

I have several lumps now on almost all of my fingers and my Rhumy said it's was RA. They said they're not sinister (like a cancer) but will alter and twist my fingers over time. I also have SLE and I notice on these pages quite a few other people who have lupus also have RA so maybe it's connected.

Do get it checked out. --could be a cyst of some sort. --could be an RA nodule (in which case additional meds may be sporadically used) --could be a weird reaction

to a hidden bug bite. Or something entirely different. But whatever it is, it will probably be best dealt with if diagnosed and treated early. Or you will find it really is nothing to worry about and have the assurance that ignoring it is just fine.

The other day I was sitting on a wall at school and happened to accidentally get knocked backwards the 'fall' was about 10cm as there was a path behind it - Anyway I had had my hands in my pockets and in my right pocket was my hand and my keys. When I 'fell' I crushed my middle finger against the keys and my body as I had 'fallen' on my side. The next day I noticed a lump had appeared in the same place it hurt and now two weeks later the lump is still there and just as painful. I can't normally feel any pain but if I put any pressure on that location it hurts. (Note: it is a hard lump). Just wondering if I have fractured a small part of the bone or it's just some tissue build up. Anyone know what this is? Thanks
