a recent newbie..........seronegative aps and lupus. Bilateral avn. My most recent set of bloods have shown my cholesterol to be high. I have never had a high cholesterol reading. Is this another issue associated with Hughes and autoimmune issues? Currently waiting for results for protein C, protein S and factor V Leiden. Started fat busting pills yesterday.

Cholesterol......
All I can tell you is what several people have told me, which is if your thyroid is out, that can cause a change in cholesterol levels. A good idea to look into this, even if to rule it out. MaryF x
I have heard of some lupus patients having a high cholesterol for no apparent reason. You could try asking the same question to Lupus UK too.
Ok thank you
Hi and welcome . I have high cholesterol which is controlled with Pravaststin one pill a day -- They checked me for S and C but because i was on wafarin it couldn't be accurately be tested- so while i was off warfarin for hip surgery and on love-nox for 7 weeks it was tested and found not to be that far off and factor V to be ok. but S and C cant be tested if you are on warfarin.--------------------jet
