Any thoughts on a non-specific chest pain (not stabbing but dull, persistent for days) and you can't attribute to heart or lung issue?

Confirmed APS ten years ago. I believe they are suspecting Lupus but still testing. ER found nothing heart or lung related via xray or vitals.

Hi, How long were you seen about your chest pain, things can change.

I had a heart attack and my symptoms weren't as bad as you imagine dull ache in chest and left arm.

If I were you I would wish for a check up, with this condition things always need to be checked if you experience symptoms like this. I have at times had pain like this, which then builds up, and usually turns out to be Percarditis. If possible try and see your actual specialist, if your GP will urgently refer, sometimes they will see you if they have a cancellation, if you are in the system anyway they may bring your appointment forward but the GP hopefully will help activate this. Chest pain should not be ignored. It could be a muscle strain. It could be a lung infection. It could be a PE

You really need to hand over to the experts in certain circumstances as an act of self preservation.

I hope it turns out to be inconsequential, but get it checked.

Yet to have a DX but I finally convinced one doctor to give me a ct scan. My Rhuemy has referred me to a Pulmonary Specialist to view questionable spots. Thanks all.

I had a pain right through my chest around the breast bone.

The doctors said they could find nothing wrong. After my heart attack I decided to push very hard for tests but the docs were still convinced nothing was wrong. However I did have a hiatus hernia confirmed which I also suspected and I had inflammation in my thorasic vertibrae plus inflammation in my ribs and breastbone. I also had severe pain when in hospital eased only by oxygen and leaning forward (clasic pericarditis symptoms) all these pains were through the centre of my chest including the heart attack pain.

I suspect that Hughes causes inflammation in any weak spots and there are many in this area of the chest.

I suffer from costochondritis, an inflammation of the connective tissue in the ribs and chest. Does your chest feel heavy and/or like someone is pressing on a bruise?

I highly suspect inflammation myself. In the coming appointments, we shall see. I'll keep you all updated.
