Would anyone share their home remedy or prescription/OTC that really helped get rid of or lessen the pain of these pesky mouth sores??

Coconut oil and Oil of Oregano* are my go-to home remedies.
*Oil of Oregano is a blood thinner, so check with your doctor!
If I need to take the edge of mouth sores, I rub with raw garlic. If I don't think ones healing well, I cover cotton wool in hunny and hold over as long as practical- sure this is terrible for my teeth so I don't do it that often. As I treat other sores with hunny and or cammomile with good effect, I sip hunny and cammomile tea (own made from fresh leaves definitely best) but I don't know if it works or just feels nice. I also keep cold cammomile tea in the bathroom to swill with regular in the hope it will improve pH in my mouth - again don't know if it works. I also keep cucumber peel in the fridge to hold over painful sores - but it might just work because its cold.
What do you do?
I have always thought of camomile as a mild disinfectant; I wouldn't keep it for long after boiling though, as I have been told it can go off and get fungi.

I don't know about its disinfectant properties, but I find it calms down a lot of my minor topical problems. It tends to soften my skin and reduce inflammation so your probably right. I've never had any grow fungus, but then again I usually use it all in less than 2 days. As for using it for mouth sores, I don't know if its a bit of a placebo , but it does take the edge of for a while for me.
I was given Adcortyl in Orobase on prescription by my dentist. Very effective. I have been so lucky though because my ulcers went once I got on warfarin and I only get them now if I bite myself, silly.
Funnily enough , after having had Warfarin, which I need for life, I was temporarily put back onto Clopidogrel and my mouth ulcers returned and were the bane of my life. I could do nothing to get rid of them , so I am sorry to hear you're suffering from them. I have been back on Warfarin for a monthnow, and , even though my INR isn't as high as they want, it is slowly rising and guess what? No mouth ulcers, they have disappeared again. I still have what I call lead legs, sluggish blood so I knew my INR was not normal or raised much, I was on 12mg but now I am back on my regular 9mg of Warfarin as my blood INR is going in the right direction but I haven't gotten over the effects of the Clopidogrel. Does anyone else have problems when they were , if they are on Clopidogrel? Like I say I had mouth ulcers like Kathy829. Good luck!
I agree with the yoghurt bio of course. Also take Probiotics.
The other thing that is good is Manuka honey.

Wonderful answers! Thank you all so much. I like the tea and yogurt ideas. Since I start warfarin in three weeks I am excited to hear it might put an end to the ulcers completely . I never knew they were blood thinning related although I was aware they were APS / Hughes related.
I was just taking another look here to see if anyone had good home remedies and I got to thinking how little I suffer in the summer. Could be a coincidence, but I eat a lot of tzadziky during the summer - Greek yougart & cucumber & garlic (and dill, but I doubt that helps). Also my favorite summer treat is yougart and hunny, both of which repeated here.
