So recently I began to have these weird episodes where I would almost pass out/could not move without help due to dizziness as well as heart palpitations and in some instances a high hr. I went to the doctor thinking it was POTS, but due to family history, symptoms, and an EKG the doctor says that it could actually be Brugada syndrome. I am getting a heart monitor and an ultrasound as well as a meeting with a cardiologist soon, but it will be over a week until that happens. Honestly, I am scared. One of my family members who has Brugada almost died from it (his heart stopped and they had to resuscitate him). I want to know what to actually be concerned about but looking up symptoms only sends me into a spiral. Does anyone have any advice on reducing anxiety around the possibility of having Brugada? I am trying not to think about how dangerous this can be but it's hard.
