Svt always begins with funny slow feeling in supersternal notch

Anybody get this? It must be my bp dropping. It always feels like something grabs me inside or spasms and like a click.. I don’t have a pause but if feels like I do. Feels like Like heart wants to stop. I only feel the fast rate on carotid under neck when feel for my pulse.. I found a way to stop the svt. I put ice on jugular notch area but not on my chest because when I did I could feel my heart beating out of my chest. Usually 220bpm is my rate. Just had a 2 week zio patch so I’m sure mo pause

Hi, when I suffered from SVT following a pulmonary embolism, it always felt like someone flicked a switch in my sternum. Glad you have found a way to stop it. Mine eventually settled into occsaisional sinus tachycardia following a failed ablation. Take care.

Hi Lauren and thanks for response. Pulmonary embolism -how frightening. Glad you are ok.. so the flick of a switch--lower than mine ,below jugular notch then? did it feel kind of like cartilage being grabbed ?Like its trying to stop your heart? It is certainly strange. Stay well.

No, mine was mid sternum and just like the flick of a switch. Hope you manage to sort yours out. My original episodes were 11years ago and only lasted about a year. As I said the sinus tachycardia is much less frequent now and not so troublesome. Good luck and take care.
