Walked a long road with AF and it keeps coming back. I am here to ask what can I do next.
Quick history: Diagnosed at 19 with AF. Under control with more and more powerful medications until at the age of 51 AF was persistent, used Amiodarone for 6 months and the AF was under control, then it stopped working too. Had cryo ablation in 2019 and it failed. A year later at the end of 2020 I had another cryo ablation and an RF ablation. AF was "cured" for 7 months. I thought it was all done but now it is back.
I am seeing the cardiologist again next week and I am not sure what he is going to offer me, yet another massively expensive cryo ablation? Can this thing ever be cured or am I just going to have to live with it until I die of heart failure?
