Stopping colchicine after 8 months, did pericarditis or effusion come back

I’ve been on 2 colchicine a day since I was in hospital with pericarditis and an effusion December last year . My cardiologist told me to take just one a day a few weeks ago then stop it completely from tomorrow , I have to have a crp blood test anytime after august 20th and an echo scan august 31st to check for any fluid returning . How did others get on after stopping colchicine after taking it for so long ? Did anyone have pericarditis or an effusion come back ?
