I get occasional PVCs , but anxiety throughout the day, maybe one panic attack a week, where my heart races for 5 minutes or so. Is this a dangerous situation, as in is there a chance the high heart rate will cause PVCs that lead to arrest?

Anxiety and PVCs
44 yo male,
I'd say most likely not dangerous at all. As long as your heart is healthy, it is fine to go fast. Now, if you've not had everything checked out, you could make an appointment in order to put your mind at ease. It's amazing how many weird heart things cardiologists and electrophysiologists DON'T show concern about at all. In other words, trust them to know what they are talking about and what is dangerous for you. They seemingly dismiss 99.9% of our worries. Oh and for reference, I'm 42 and my heart still goes to 190 on occasion and that's while taking a beta blocker - my dr is fine with that.
Hi there, 50 male here. I get PVC's all the time, last 24 hour monitor I had said I was getting 2600 in a 24 hour period and I was feeling pretty good during that one. Go get checked out by a cardiologist, have them give you a stress echo test. The stress echo lets them see how your heart looks/behaves at rest then right after strenuous exercise. They will give you an echocardiogram right before you get on a treadmill then right after you hit your limit on the treadmill they will pull you off and give you another echocardiogram. I was told that as long as you have a normal functioning heart with no noticeable defects that all my PVC's are benign even though they can make me lightheaded and give me brain fog. The stress echo is important because they want to see if exercise can cause PVC's. What I was told is that if exercise causes or increases your PVC's further testing would have been required. Good luck ectopic's really suck even though 99% of the time they are benign.
