Hello Iker,

I had Mobitz Type 2 and a pacemaker fitted in May this year. One or two leads are fed from the pacemaker through veins into the heart, and (as far as I understand) have small hooks or anchors which attach them inside the heart, which heals around them. The danger at first is that they can be dislodged. I was told that for 6 weeks I should avoid anything strenuous, and not to raise my left arm above shoulder level even when getting dressed. I think you need to explain to your doctor exactly what you do while you are working - they will probably advise you not to do any heavy lifting for at least six weeks.

Hi Clifton, thanks for your reply. I've been with a holter under my skin for 1 month. The doctors tell me that if I do not have fainting for 2 years, they will not give me a pacemaker. Having mobitz 2 will make it difficult for me not to wear it, although I do not lose hope. The wait is long.
